Day 7
We leave at 9am making our way to Sondalo,Lombardy.
Sondalo (Sondel in Valtellinese dialect) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Milan and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Sondrio.
Sondalo borders the following municipalities: Grosio, Ponte di Legno, Valdisotto, Valfurva, Vezza d'Oglio.
We then make our way to the Village of Pfunds. Stopping for lunch and then make our way to our hotel.
Dating back more than 700 years, Pfunds is a pretty village in the westernmost section of the Inntal Valley. The medieval houses on both banks of the river are famous for their beautifully painted facades.
Pfunds is nestled in a quiet corner of Tirol at the point where three countries (Austria, Italy and Switzerland) meet, between the mighty peaks of the Samnaun Mountains and the Ötztal Alps in the east. The village itself comprises the main settlement and a smaller hamlet, Stuben. Together they have a population of 2,500. Medieval farmhouses dominate the village centre, with their magnificent frescoes painted in a typical Engadin style documenting the wealth and history of this area. In centuries past it served as a stop for traders travelling between Venice and Augsburg via the Reschenpass, a high mountain pass to the south of Pfunds. Visitors in winter appreciate the large nearby ski resorts such as the Kaunertal Glacier and the Silvretta Arena. Popular throughout the year is the Tschey, a high plateau which draws cross-country skiers in winter and hikers in summer. Another attraction in the warm summer months is the Klammsteig to the south of the village, a gorge with hanging footbridges and thundering waterfalls.

Staying a very modern Hotel and enjoying the views and time to yourself.
Day 8
Early start 8am we start to make our way home through France it is a long day but well rewarded when you get to our last night staying in a beautiful Chateau.
Nestled in a beautiful wooded park alongside a small river, this château just oozes history. The style here is very old school, a throwback to another era. Don’t come here and expect a modern 21st-century hotel, but rather a sedate, somewhat funky, château hotel experience.
You’ll want to spend a little time exploring the surrounding woodlands or even try rowing a boat around the moat. Even French philosopher, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, found inspiration here in the the remaining six weeks of his life.
